Disc two of Eureka Seven is now complete. I'm still retreading familiar territory. Still, episode 7 was really funny. I never suspected that a rebel/counterculture faction like the Gekkostate would partake in hazing.
"Look for the man who has a large tattoo of a legendary beast on his back."
"but, they all have tattoos of legendary beasts on their backs!"
Some time later . . .
"I found him! The man with a tattoo of a legendary beast on his back!" after spotting a guy with a tattoo of Holland on his back. Remember kids, it's not dragons nor chimeras nor manticores that are legendary beasts; it's men like Holland Novak who are legendary!
But on this disc, my favorite episode was #9. It was a very serious episode, but it hit so many emotional chords so well, I felt like crying. I didn't, but I could picture someone crying when Eureka tells of her past to Renton.
And the end of episode 10 introduced Anemone, who I'm guessing either is Eureka's evil twin sister, or a clone of her. Either way, she'll factor in from now on.
Disc one and two have five episodes on them. Discs three thru twelve have four each. So, each disc will have slightly less material, but I'm okay with that. This is such an awesome series, I can't help it.
"Hey, xm. About your last post, what if E7 really does become your favorite anime series? What will happen then?"
I'll tell you what will happen:
Motherfucking Death Note will go back to just being plain ol' Death Note, for starters. I won't be able to watch more E7 until next week. See you then!
