Seriously, why aren't there more Eureka 7 fans in the world!? What's everyone's problem!? Does it irritate you that much that they use the correct Greek pronunciation of Eureka, instead of the English-corrupted pronunciation? (Your-ree-kuh vs. Elle-wreck-kuh. It's not that hard to pronounce, is it?) What!?
Well, I'm gonna do something about this. I'm going to promote E7. A lot more. And for starters, earlier today, I bought some episodes of E7 on DVD. Yeah, unlike many other so-called anime fans, I'm actually supporting the developers and licensers financially. And quite a bit; I purchased the first 8 volumes with my allowance. Okay, technically, I used my dad's credit card, but I paid back my parents in cash. Yeah, it was quite an expenditure, but the execs at Bang Zoom! should be happy.
(Cut to Bang Zoom! Entertainment headquarters. An office lackey runs into the office of Tony Oliver, translator, director, and voice actor in Bang Zoom! and Bandai's employ.)
[Lackey] Sir! Sir! Somebody just bought eight volumes of an English dubbed anime you directed, sir!
[Tony Oliver] Well, this calls for a celebration.
(Tony puts on an LP record player next to him.)
[LP player] Ceeeeeeeeelebrate good times, come on!
(Back to reality)
Okay, I have no idea why I just made a Simpsons reference just now. Still, see? I'm not doing fansubs; I'm actually buying a show I like! The DVDs will arrive some time in the near future, and when they do, I'll tell you more about them. If I have nothing else to blog about, I'll summarize my watching of E7 like when I played FF7 last April. Again, I will do my best not to divulge spoilers. However, expect a few things regarding my future E7 posts:
1: I will be watching it dubbed in English. Two reasons. One, E7 has one of the best dubs I've ever heard. Two, so I can continue to stick it to dub haters. Dub haters, I hate those guys. Three, (okay, so there's three reasons; so I lied.) Crispin Freeman as Holland Novak. Nuff sed.
2: I will watch no more than one disc a day. So, at most, no more than four to five episodes a day. I don't wanna burden myself.
3: Trying to claim that Eureka is just like Rei will be strictly prohibited. BECAUSE THEY'RE NOTHING ALIKE!!!!!!111!!!!1
And so on. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.
