The prophecy has been fulfilled

"I now look forward to having nightmares about narcissistic musicians obsessed with bunny ears for the rest of my life, now. Thanks, game developers!"

God FUCK IT!

It's already happening; I'm having nightmares about Bioshock! How is that possible!? I beat the game! I killed all the bad people!

But noooooooooooooooooooo!

I've already had a dream wherein I was wondering around the mall in the first game, only to hear this in my head:

"The Wild Bunny, by Sander Cohen:
I want to take the ears off, but I can't.
I hop, and when I hop I never get off the ground.
It's my curse, my eternal curse.
I want to take the ears off but I can't!
It's my curse, it's my fucking curse!
I want to take the ears off!
PLEASE! TAKE THEM OFF! PLEA-EA-EASE!"

Fuck you, Sander Cohen! How dare you haunt me in my dreams! The same for Dr. Steinman too, that creepy fuck.

And to think, there's another Bioshock game in the works. And, knowing me, the hardcore gamer that I am, I'm gonna play it anyways, regardless of whatever damage it may cause to my psyche.

Fortunately, I know of a way to counteract the scariness of Bioshock.

"Cute girls and good music?"

GET OUT OF MY HEAD ALREADY!!!!!!!

But yes, that's correct. I recently ordered the last six volumes of Cardcaptor Sakura. Expect a review in the near future.

Also, my Touhou fanfic is nearing completion. I only have one or two scenes left to write. I have a feeling you're gonna like it. And, it'll (kind of) coincide with the release of the new official Touhou games! Yes! I'm releasing a Touhou fanfic just as excitement for all things TH-related is expected to reach a fever pitch! Man, I'm smart.

Hey wait. I just remembered something. I like many of the characters from Imperishable Night. I like Tei, or Tewi, whatever you wanna call her, and I kind of like Reisen too. But, look for a moment.

Look at that image, and tell me what you see.

"I see a fan-made image of Reisen and Tewi sized to be a 1024 by 768 wallpaper."

You know what I see?

I see bunny ears.

GET THE BUNNY EARS AWAY FROM ME!!!!! I'VE SUFFERED ENOUGH!!!! NO MORE FUCKING BUNNY EARS PUH LEEEEEEEEZE!!!!!!!!! I DON'T EVEN LIKE PLAYBOY BUNNIES!!!!!! GET THE BUNNY EARS AWAY FROM ME!!!! MY EYES CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

*runs away crying like a girl*

"Men, we have determined beyond a doubt two things that send xm0123 running away sobbing; the anime version of Sailor Moon, and anything that reminds him of Sander Cohen from Bioshock.

Oh, and by the way xm0123, you know Sailor Moon's real name, Usagi Tsukino? Do you remember what that means in Japanese? 'Bunny on the Moon.'"

AAAAGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!

A work of mine has been gutted . . . somewhat

You know how I said my Touhou 'fic was gonna be four parts long? Well, I did some editing, and I ended up deleting an entire part due to quality control. My fanfic will now be three parts long instead, as I originally planned, but I've already got parts 1 and 2 finished, so I'm getting close to the end.

In other news . . .

Look what I found on a tvtropes page, another remix of Flandre's theme, one by ZUN himself! Isn't that something?

Wait! I'm not done yet! I present another PC-98 song, namely, Mima's other theme song. I don't know much about the character, but she has cool music. And speaking of PC-98, here's the theme for a character named Gengetu. No clue who she is, like the theme song.

Oh, remember that vocal remix from Suika's theme from a few days back? Here's a longer arrangement. You can thank me later.

My gawd, I could look up and listen to Touhou music forever.

excitement

Excitement for all things Touhou has been mounting recently. I just found out there's gonna be two new Touhou games next month; the retail version of TH 12, and another fighting game spinoff, this one tentatively entitled 12.3.

Some characters are appearing in an official fighter for the first time, including Cirno, (Please keep your "2009 with a circle around the 9" jokes to yourself) and Sanae, who is now confirmed to have larger boobs than Reimu.

[Reimu] No fair! You're like a C cup, and I'm only an A!

[Sanae] Well, I suppose hard work pays off after all!♥

Also, Hong Meiling is reappearing; maybe this time she'll have her own stage and a remix of her theme song in the game soundtrack. That's all I care about: the music. Most likely, it'll just be remixes of earlier songs again, but so far, the Touhou fighters have had great soundtracks, so I have faith in this one. And who knows what new characters may be introduced in TH 12.3? Only time will tell.

In other news, parts 1 and 2 of my Touhou fanfic are complete! Now all I have to do is finish parts 3 and 4 . . . which may take a little while. Rest assured, though, I'm still on schedule.

P.S. I cannot beat Yukari in Megamari! It's official; I can't beat Megamari. Woe is me.

You're gonna read this webcomic, and you're gonna like it!

Tvtropes rules my life now. I found another Touhou fanwork to enjoy; this time it's a webcomic.

Scarlet Weather Archive in Japanese Red, by KimikoMuffin.

This is a comedic look into Touhou. Don't believe me? Here's a sample image that left me on the floor:

If you know who Rumia and Cirno are, chances are you also laughed just now.

Speaking of fanworks, I've been working on my Touhou fanfic some more. It will very likely be in four parts, although some parts will be longer than others. My schedule is this: I will upload all four parts . . . sometime before I go back to school. My first day of school is August 31st, so I guess that means my deadline is August 30th, 2009. See? I've set up a schedule and everything!

the music file is overflowing!

Okay, my Touhou music file is now my second-largest collection of music on my hardrive. Only my Final Fantasy section has more music. It's official now; I have more Touhou music than I do Dragon Quest music! How did that happen!?

Well regardless, let's talk more about the music of Touhou. After all, it was the music that hooked me into the series.

There is no denying that ZUN is a talented composer. I would even say music composition is his best talent, and am still curious as to why no professional game developer has commissioned him yet. Just about all of the Touhou games, including the spinoffs, as well as Touhou's companion series, Seihou, have, if not a bunch of great music, at the very least, a few great pieces of music. Not very many game franchises have consistently great music, but Touhou does, and it's not surprising that it earns comparison to the Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Chrono, and Dragon Quest franchises.

Not only that, but since Touhou is a doujin product, there is also a ton of remixes of Touhou music. Some of these remixes are as good as the original compositions, or even better. For example, I don't really like Youmu's themes from the actual games, (funny, considering that she's my favorite character) but 50% Alive 'n Dead by SOUNDHOLIC is a fantastic piece of music. But sometimes, it's the other way around. I love ZUN's version of Aya's theme, but I've yet to find a remix of her theme that sounds as good as the original. And sometimes, the originals and the remixes will be great in their own way. I love Chen's theme from the actual game, as well as IOSYS' version of Chen's theme.

Another thing I noticed, (okay, technically, I didn't notice this one until Usually Dead mentioned it in a Let's Play video) but there's a lot of variety of Touhou music. Some games, even games with soundtracks I love, will just reuse the main theme over and over and over again. Star Ocean 3, for example, has about 40 different variations of its main theme, (I may be exaggerating the number, but whatever.) Granted, the main SO3 theme is beautiful, and many of its variations sound great, but there's not as much variety. Not so with the Touhou games. The only pieces that re-occur are the main title screen music, (which always gets heavily remixed with every new game) and some of the character themes. And even when a theme is re-used, it will always be arranged in some form. "Phantom Ensemble" the theme of the Prismriver Sisters, first appeared in Perfect Cherry Blossom, and appeared again in Phantasmagoria of Flower View. And guess what? Both versions sound great. Some of the more prominent characters have more than one theme motif, such as Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, and Yukari. Yukari's theme in PCB, Necrofantasia, sounds quite different from her theme in Immaterial and Missing Power, Night Falls ~ Evening Star, and yet, both themes not only sound great, but are both appropriate for a character like Yukari.

In fact, it would probably be easier to list Touhou music I don't like. Let's see . . . I don't like Tei's theme very much. Umm . . . . some of the bosses of the 1st and 2nd stages of the games have forgettable music. And . . . I'm not really fond of Marisa Stole the Precious Thing by IOSYS, (hence why I recommended the metal version instead.) There's more, but it's hard to list music I don't like.

Oh, you want another link, don't you? Okay, here's one: A remix of Nitori's theme. Don't let the kawaii drive you nuts. (I like that version of Nitori's theme more than the original ZUN version.) Oh, here another one: a vocal version of Kaguya's theme. Let's just say Touhou music hardly disappoints.

The yin and the yang of xm0123's Domain

We now begin with the yin of this blog; namely, my rantings of something all modern day scholars despise; otakus.

I've bitched about them plenty of times in the past. However, can you spot an otaku? Maybe you can, but maybe you can't. Some otakus are more discrete than others. Luckily for you, I will make a handy list right here as a go-to guide for identifying the scourge that is the otaku.

xm0123's guide for recognizing anime otaku. Works in both the real world, and the internet world.

  1. If you refer to an anime as a "mere" cartoon, the otaku will fly off the handle, insisting that anime is far superior to anything the world outside of Nippon has produced.
  2. The otaku is never a fan of any anime product that is popular with "normal people," ("normal people" referring to people who don't normally watch Japanese cartoons. Otakus perceive them as being unexceptional and conformist.) and will go about their way claiming that their favorite series or movie is so much better than mainstream fluff like Pokemon and Dragonball, simply because no one outside of serious anime fans and/or otaku can even recognize it. Sometimes, the otaku will make an exception for popular anime if it was made by a "respected" creator, like Tezuka, Miyazaki, Otomo, et cetera, however, they don't always make an exception for them.
  3. The otaku assumes that all Japanese authors, anime directors, voice actors, et cetera, are always infallible. Always. Infallible. No exceptions. Unless if they created something popular with "normal people", and said popular product was not made by someone "respected." Then it sucks. And fans of said product sucks.
  4. The otaku is a dub hater. This one's tricky; not everyone who watches subs only is a dub hater. If someone watches anime in Japanese because, "I want to see it in its original format," (A common reason used for live-action foreign films) or because, "I like being able to read subtitles," then they're not dub haters. If someone watches anime in Japanese because, "Japanese sounds better than English! Nay, better than every language that isn't Japanese!" then they're definitely an otaku.
  5. The otaku finds illustrated women more desirable than the real-life woman. Please don't ask me to go into further detail on this one.

If one of these traits describes you, you are very likely an otaku. If all of these traits describe you . . . then stay the fuck away from me.

However, there is one way to counteract the yin of this blog; the yang of this blog. And what is the yang of this blog? Cute girls and good music! And what franchise supplies cute girls and good music? Touhou! I found a video that is a series of flashes. It's amazing.

Enjoy.

Doesn't that make you feel better? Of course it does. The animation in that first part is amazing. Well, amazing for an internet video, anyways.

And now I present: A remix of Reisen's theme. I may not like her as much as some of the other characters, but her theme song is great.

Sports games I DO like

Sports simulators. "Real" gamers love mocking this genre. Why do you suppose so many "real" gamers wish death upon Electronic Arts? Because most of their revenue comes from "idiot" gamers who keep buying Madden and Tiger Woods over and over. Sometimes, I don't like sports games. Oftentimes, they sacrifice fun for "realism." And then of course, there is the saying, "Why don't you just play it in real life?"

Well now comes my rebuttal. I'm hardly an athletic individual. I can barely benchpress, I can't throw a ball far nor accurately, and while I can run fast, I tire out very quickly. A sports video game makes it so I can play a sport like a pro. And also, playing a well-made sports video game can be an art in itself. (Much like how everyone in South Park is impressed by people who are good at Guitar Hero, yet could care less that Randy can play the acoustic like a pro.) Having been a gamer for all of my life, I have played some good sports video games in my lifetime, yes, including games by EA. While it's hard for me to recollect every single good sports video game I have played in my life, (Expect updates to this article!) I will do my best to chronicle the good ones now.

Note: I DO CONSIDER RACING GAMES TO BE SPORTS GAMES. I really don't understand why gamers, and even the games industry itself, considers racing to be entirely separate from other sporting games, when in reality they aren't. Racing is a sport too, and many racing games simulate automobile racing as best as they could. Let me put it this way; to the "real" gamers who may be reading this, every time you played a Mario Kart game, you played a sport game. You don't have to deny it. It's okay to like sports games.

Now for the actual list:

NBA Live 97. This was EA Sports' basketball series for the SNES/Genesis era. The 97 edition was the best. You could alter the rules of the games to however you wanted: you could turn off all the personal fouls if you wanted, as well as change other rules. (No out-of-bounds? Sweet!) You could create your own players, of course, back then, player customization was less detailed, but you could still do it. And most importantly, the game had a great balance between fun and realism. My brother and I played this game for hours, doing crazy shots, pushing players around, (we usually kept the personal fouls off) trying to see who did the best free throws, it was awesome.

Mario Tennis. DON'T LAUGH. This was one of the best games made for the N64. Even though it starred various Nintendo characters, it simulates the game of tennis really well. You could use many different real-life shots in the game, you could play all different kinds of courts, and the characters were well balanced: some were speedsters, some were power hitters, some were all-rounders. You could play singles, doubles, and again, it had that perfect balance between fun and realism. (Playing in Bowser's castle, however, completely does away with realism and makes it as Mario-like as possible) I haven't played the other Mario Tennis games, but I know for sure the one on the N64 was a blast. Try it if you haven't.

Tiger Woods 2004. Of all the Tiger Woods games for the PS2/GC/Xbox generation, the 2004 edition was the most balanced, the most fun. Much like in the real game of golf, getting good at Tiger Woods takes practice, but once you get good, the game becomes immensely enjoyable. Of course, much like in the recent Penny Arcade comic, you may become so good that you'll be shooting Double Eagles on Par 5's like it was nothing, but just try it out if you haven't; make your own player, become the Masters champion, do some shootouts. I endorse it.

Triple Play 97. Okay, this one, I haven't played that much, but my older brother used to own the PC version of this game, and he said that for its time, it was the best baseball game ever. You could use real-life pitches in the game: knuckleballs, change-ups, and of course, the high heat, among others. You could create your own player, and they had an interesting touch with the FMV sequences of that game: before every game, it shows the stadium you're playing in, accompanied to the last line of The Star-Spangled Banner. However, when you played in Montreal, it played the last line of O Canada. Nice touch.

The Forza Motorsports series. Of all the Gran Turismo-like racing games, the FZ series is the best. That's right; in my mind, Forza is not the GT clone, it is the GT-killer. Everything GT does, Forza does better. Unlike most racing sims, Forza simulates real-life speed as much as possible. Going 110 MPH is dangerous, let alone 180 MPH. Braking is vital. And yet, with customization, you can make the game a fair balance between fun and realism. Although the second game removed the rally racing and the one-way tracks, both games are fantastic. A must play.

And for the record, the Madden games of the PS2/GC/Xbox generation were better than the Madden games for the N64/PS1 generation. Also, the Madden games for the SNES/Genesis were highly unrealistic, but they were fun once you figured them out. Ah yes, the joy of completing an 80 yard Hail Mary pass . . .

Well, what are you waiting for!? Get out there and partake in some sporting events in video game form already!

Watch as I caption (poorly)

Can you even caption images on blogger.com? I don't know. Well I'm gonna find out. Here goes nothing:

"No, Serena! That's not how you do a Jutsu in Naruto: Ultimate Ninja! It's always either up, up, circle, or down, down, circle! Or is that too hard for you to remember!? Ya know, if you really need to figure out how to do something in a video game, why don't you look it up online instead of calling me, ya dumb blonde bimbo!? Gawd, I can't decide if I hate you or Mina more!"

Uh, okay, I guess I can't do a proper caption. The best I can do is center my image, center my caption, and put the caption in a blocked quote. What a pity.

Wait a second, this is the second time I've uploaded a picture of Rei/Raye/Sailor Mars. What's up with that?

No, I don't have a crush on her. But I did see a new Sailor Moon Abridged earlier today. Must be why I used the English names in the quote.

Anyways, my family is beginning preparations for our trip to Reno. We have hotel rooms reserved; now we just need to pack. Granted, as of this writing, the departure date is still three days away, but it pays to think about what to bring and what not to bring. Vacation trips are not something you can just do on the spot. You have to plan them out, and if you're lucky, your trip may turn out exactly as . . . .

. . . expected. (Almost got you there, didn't I?) We have to decide what clothes to bring, what kind of food we'll eat (or whatever we don't eat at a restaurant), what kind of medicine we'll need, lots of things. It's been years since the last time I took a trip out of my hometown, so I'm excited.

Incessant blathering

New chapter of Code Geass: Lelouch of Brittania is up!

Lloyd has been introduced! And guess what? He's even better in the fanfic than he was on the show! If you remember, I was devastated to see how suckass CG's English dub was, especially considering that it was by Bandai, of all companies, and starred many of my favorite VA's of all time, many of them giving some of the worst performances I've ever heard from them. (I'm still traumatized by Johnny Yong Bosch's delivery as Lelouch. Same goes for Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Cornelia.)

But not Lloyd. For whatever reason, Lloyd was the one well-voiced character in the English dub of CG. The only way Cal Reflector's fanfic could be any better would be to get Liam O'Brien himself to read Lloyd's dialog. That would be the shit.

Suzaku also finally appears. No, he hasn't betrayed anyone yet. Situations are starting to become more and more like the ones in the early part of the first season. The author promises that C.C. and Kallen will appear soon. I don't care about C.C., (so what, is he finally gonna introduce the supernatural element that is the Geass now?) but just do me one favor; don't make Kallen into a psychobitch. From what I remember on the show, she was most definitely a psychobitch. Don't portray her in such a one-dimesional light, puh-leeze! Well, considering that every other character is much more likable and/or fleshed out in Cal Reflector's series, I have faith.

But you know what? This is pathetic. How is it that a fan's series is so much better than the official work? How is it that a fan's interpretation takes all of CG's ideas, and does them right, whereas the official series did it completely wrong? It shouldn't be like this.

In other news, my trip to Reno begins next Sunday. I will be gone until Wednesday at the latest. Don't expect an update during that time.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHERFUCKING RADSCORPIONS IN THIS MOTHERFUCKING WASTELAND!!!!!

Seriously, at my point in my current playthrough of Fallout 3, radscorpions are everywhere, and I'm not talking about the regular-sized ones, I'm talking about the giant ones, the ones that take forever to kill. Unlike most other enemies in the game, I only have one trick for killing radscorpions; grenade spamming. But guess what? I'm out of grenades! And giant radscorpions cover more ground than regular radscorpions; I can't outrun them either!

And besides, scorpions in real-life aren't even native to the D.C. Metropolitan area! How the fuck is D.C. overrun with them!?

It's an infestation I tell you. If I could start a business in the game, it would be the business of radscorpion extermination: We Won't Stop Killing The Arachnid Vermin Until They're Extinct! I could hire other people to join me; we'll be like a mercenary group! If an area is overrun with radscorpions, just call us, and we'll grenade spam those ugly fuckers back to the stone age, for a price of course. And if you wanna get hired by me, present at least six radscorpion glands, as proof that you can kill them.

That's the one reprieve for having to kill the big radscorpions; their corpses leave behind a lot more poison glands. I've been making a killing pawning off the glands I've stripped off of them.

Well, there is another trick to killing giant radscorpions, but it depends on circumstance; not all of the enemies in the game get along. I've seen Deathclaws duke it out with Yao Guai, for instance, and not surprisingly, I've seen radscorpions fight other things as well. I know of three enemies strong enough to kill giant radscorpions: Deathclaws, Sentry Bots, and Super Mutant Masters. If one of those three are around, they're kill anything in their way. Only problem is, then they'll come after you! However, they should be weakened after fighting other enemies, so you'll have a chance.

By the way, my Touhou fanfic? It may four parts long. I'm just writing like crazy, I swear!

Oh hooray for the Red, White, and Blue

The title is something Daffy Duck once sang in a Looney Tunes short made during World War II. I reference it because today is Independence Day, also known as the Fourth of July.

A Four of July several years ago was particularly special for me. July 4th, 2004. When I graduated in June of 2004, my parents rewarded me by giving me a new computer. I still have this PC today; after all, I'm typing on it! Anyways, at first, I didn't really have anything neat to do on my PC back then. Sure, I had installed my favorite PC games on it, (or the ones that can work on Windows XP anyways) but I hadn't tested it to its limits yet. My PC at the time was the most powerful my family had owned, you see, but what could I do with it?

Then I remembered, on our last PC, I played games on an NES emulator, as well as a Genesis emulator. I tried to run ZSNES on this older computer, but the games played way slower than they should've.

Then I thought, maybe I should try ZSNES on my new PC! It was on that July 4th that I did, and lo and behold, for once, I was able to get emulated SNES games to run exactly as they did on an actual SNES. I still have that download today, (ZSNES v.1.36 if you're curious) as well as the latest build of ZSNES. Later, I would attempt to emulate N64 games (with mediocre success) and PS1 games (with fantastic success). But I'll never forget that Fourth of July, the excitement of being able to revisit all of my favorite games for my favorite Nintendo console, as well as the possibilty of being able to play SNES games I never could. (Especially Japanese-only SNES games. Thank you, Tales of Phantasia and Seiken Densetsu 3!)

But now, we must switch to a different subject; Fallout 3.

Hey, it takes place in the capitol; isn't that patriotic enough? Well, I've learned something about Fallout 3; ammo for some weapons is hard to come by. Ammo for the .308 sniper rifle is scarce out in the field . . . but not in the marketplace. If you have the money, you can buy quite a lot of rounds for the .308 sniper rifle from various vendors. Now I use that gun a lot more than I did in my first playthrough.

Also, here's a tip for dealing with Mirelurks; the head of Mirelurks is hard to hit, but deals much more damage than compared to every other body part. Using V.A.T.S. to hit a Mirelurk's head is haphazard at best. Here's how I kill them: equip the shotgun. Let a Mirelurk attack you. Back up just as it headbutts you. For that brief second, its head will be completely vulnerable, so long as you shoot in real-time and not in V.A.T.S. Keep doing this tactic until it dies. (warning: this trick is harder to do if more than one Mirelurk is charging you. In that event, either run away, or use explosives. Remember the grenade spam trick!)

Also, don't underestimate your weaker weapons. The laser pistol has weak shot power, but you can squeeze off a lot more shots in a single volley in V.A.T.S. than you could with a larger weapon.

Oh, also, here's some fun; you can block melee attacks if you have a melee weapon equipped. The block button is the same button used for zooming in with ranged weapons. When I want to conserve ammo, and I'm fighting someone who is also using a melee weapon, try this: hit the enemy in V.A.T.S. If it's not dead, just block all of its attack until your AP recharges. Go into V.A.T.S. again. Repeat until target is dead. Keep in mind, blocking is useless against bullets and explosions, so don't push your luck. Also, foes can block your melee attacks as well, but only if you hit them in real-time. They can't block V.A.T.S.

Keep these tips in mind and enjoy your Fourth of July . . . if you're American, that is. If you're not American, then, uh . . . avoid strange-looking pills, and stay safe.

Division

I just saw the newest Arby N The Chief. It was hilarious, and a good satire as well.

Why is it that groups of people always divide themselves? Happens far too often in real life over important issues, and it happens too much on the internet over less important issues. Knowing me, I'm only gonna talk about the less important issues.

Oh yes, fanboyism within the fanbase. I've already talked about this. Apparently, according to Arby N The Chief, Halo fans are divided over what is the best Halo machinima. I say "Apparently," because I've never entered a place on the web where Halo fanatics gather. You should already know why.

{Me} Did you see the RVB where the Red Team did a "funeral" for Sarge? Oh god, that was fucking hilarious!

{Halo fan} Hey wait, aren't you that dude that said the Halo series is the most overrated game series of this decade?

{Me} Uhhhhhhhhhhh . . . . . I'd be lying if I said no.

{Halo fan} BURN THE HERETIC!

Yeah. Think of all the times I've seen fanbases divided amongst themselves. I remember when I used to see Sonic the Hedgehog fans interact, oh boy. This is the only thing that Sonic agree on; the three Sonic games on the Genesis are good. That's it. Try to get any large group of Sonic fanboys to agree on anything other than that.

{Sonic fan 1} Waaaaah! I want ABC to renew SaTam!

{Sonic fan 2} Fuck that. Sonic X was better. It's an anime, after all.

{Sonic fan 1} What? You'd rather watch a Mary Sue that looks like Sora be the lead character of a Sonic cartoon?

{Sonic fan 3} Gawd, why are you people even bitching about the Sonic cartoons? The only Sonic publication with any good storyline where the older Sonic comics by Archie!

{Sonic fan 4} Bullshit! The Fleetway comics from Europe were better!

{Sonic fan 5} You're all a bunch of retards! Sonic isn't supposed to be a cartoon/comic character! He's a video game character first and foremost!

{Sonic fan 3} Need I remind you that Sonic 2006 = Epic Fail?

{Sonic fan 6} Blaze is hot.

{Someone who's definitely not a Sonic fan} LOL! Furries!

And the division between video game fanatics? I think my articles about the Gamespy forums illuminated that one best. And anime division? Well, considering that I have interacted with anime fans, only to have been burned, I don't feel like repeating that here.

Ooh, I know! Pit animation fans who like American cartoons on one end, and animation fans who like Japanese cartoons on the other. That should be fun!

"Your cartoons are kiddie-fied!"

"At least our cartoons are properly lip-synched!"

"Yeah, but do they have hot chicks piloting mecha?"

"No, because that's just plain stupid."

"Do you have anything that compares to Evangelion?"

"Do you have anything that compares to Pinky and the Brain?"

"U suk!"

"U suk!"

*sighs* Divisive fanbases suck. That's why I'm the member of a Touhou messageboard; that community isn't very divisive. Oh yeah, I started posting on doujinstyle.com, I'm not just there for the downloads anymore.

Please, Touhou fanatics, don't make me hate you. Oh wait, actually, there are Touhou fanboys who fit one of the criteria for being an otaku: some of them prefer to "fap" to make-believe women over real women. Or as they say, "2D girls", which I find highly discriminatory, for most video games use 3D graphics, and are therefore completely neglecting fictional 3D girls in doing so. Ignore Rinoa Heartilly, will you!? Oh wait, I'm getting off subject. Some Touhou fans not only *ahem* "fap" to hentai, some of them are into lolicon also. Now, it's possible for someone to be into lolicon without abusing children in real life, I am aware of this. On the other hand, I really don't want to hear you describing sexual fantasies about childish girls, please!

So Touhou fans who don't like hentai, I am cool with you. For now. Keep it that way, and I just might share my Touhou fanfic with you.
