I just saw the newest Arby N The Chief. It was hilarious, and a good satire as well.
Why is it that groups of people always divide themselves? Happens far too often in real life over important issues, and it happens too much on the internet over less important issues. Knowing me, I'm only gonna talk about the less important issues.
Oh yes, fanboyism within the fanbase. I've already talked about this. Apparently, according to Arby N The Chief, Halo fans are divided over what is the best Halo machinima. I say "Apparently," because I've never entered a place on the web where Halo fanatics gather. You should already know why.
{Me} Did you see the RVB where the Red Team did a "funeral" for Sarge? Oh god, that was fucking hilarious!
{Halo fan} Hey wait, aren't you that dude that said the Halo series is the most overrated game series of this decade?

Yeah. Think of all the times I've seen fanbases divided amongst themselves. I remember when I used to see Sonic the Hedgehog fans interact, oh boy. This is the only thing that Sonic agree on; the three Sonic games on the Genesis are good. That's it. Try to get any large group of Sonic fanboys to agree on anything other than that.

And the division between video game fanatics? I think my articles about the Gamespy forums illuminated that one best. And anime division? Well, considering that I have interacted with anime fans, only to have been burned, I don't feel like repeating that here.
Ooh, I know! Pit animation fans who like American cartoons on one end, and animation fans who like Japanese cartoons on the other. That should be fun!

*sighs* Divisive fanbases suck. That's why I'm the member of a Touhou messageboard; that community isn't very divisive. Oh yeah, I started posting on doujinstyle.com, I'm not just there for the downloads anymore.
Please, Touhou fanatics, don't make me hate you. Oh wait, actually, there are Touhou fanboys who fit one of the criteria for being an otaku: some of them prefer to "fap" to make-believe women over real women. Or as they say, "2D girls", which I find highly discriminatory, for most video games use 3D graphics, and are therefore completely neglecting fictional 3D girls in doing so. Ignore Rinoa Heartilly, will you!? Oh wait, I'm getting off subject. Some Touhou fans not only *ahem* "fap" to hentai, some of them are into lolicon also. Now, it's possible for someone to be into lolicon without abusing children in real life, I am aware of this. On the other hand, I really don't want to hear you describing sexual fantasies about childish girls, please!
So Touhou fans who don't like hentai, I am cool with you. For now. Keep it that way, and I just might share my Touhou fanfic with you.
