I recently downloaded RE-TAKE, the doujinshi that's very acclaimed. THE ALL AGES VERSION, THANK-YOU-VERY-MUCH! (Then again, it's not like I haven't seen Misato, Rei, and Asuka naked.) Looks interesting. Is pretty long for a doujin graphic novel.

Asuka's portrayal is said to be different in Rebuild; she's supposedly less of a psychobitch than she was in the tv and manga canons. The only way I could like the manga version of Asuka even more was if she was somehow cute. I'll say it here and now; if I find the Rebuild version of Asuka to be cute, I will start wasting my money on Eva merchandise. Considering that I already lost an Asuka-related gamble in the past, I will now wait with bated breath.

Alright, you wanna know the real reason why I'm obsessed with Eva right now? Aside from having just watch the first Rebuild movie? I have reason to believe that the Rebuild series, once completed, could equal or even best Eureka Seven for best anime in my opinion. It would surpass Miyazaki's films, too. That's how good this first film was; I see that potential.

To commemorate my recent purchase of the Blu-ray version of Evangelion 1.11, (which you can read my review of on MAL) I will now link what is the greatest Evangelion fanfiction I have ever read up to this point in my life.

What happens if you turn Eva into an action/comedy series, one that is both epic, hilarious, and just plain fun to read? You get Nobody Dies. I just started, but I already know, this is one of the best fanfics I have ever read in my life.

Whatever you do, don't blame me if this fanfic turns you into a Rei worshipper.

I won't talk about Fate anymore until I'm finished with the whole game. (I like how visual novels have practically no difficulty to speak of.)


Let's instead talk about Funimation.

Shortly after I watched Darker Than Black, I also saw they had a few episodes of Kanon and Welcome to the NHK. However, at that time, they only had a few episodes up for those respective shows. Then, they started adding more episodes of NHK, eventually completing the series. Then they started uploaded another series called Baccano! I watched it; I liked it, but they only had four episodes when I first watched. I did tell people about it in the real world ("Hey Mom! I found a Japanese cartoon about New York gangsters from the 1930s! I never imagined that a Japanese animation studio would be interested in making such a series!") but I never wrote about it here, and I only wrote about in on myanimelist last night. They also have the OVA episodes of Baccano up now. And not only that, just today, I learned that they have Kanon (2006 for you otakus) up in its entirety now, not just the first four episodes.

However, they did not upload all of these episodes until I wrote about DTB on this blog. Then I wrote about the other shows they hosted, and all of a sudden, they started uploading more content. I can't imagine why; I'm not an otaku. My life does not revolve around Japanese pop culture. My favorite anime will probably always be Eureka Seven. Why am I even bothering with this stuff? Because they are generous enough to host it? No; that can't be it. Them uploading NHK, Baccano, and Kanon in full; that can't be a coincidence. This . . .
