Incessant blathering

New chapter of Code Geass: Lelouch of Brittania is up!

Lloyd has been introduced! And guess what? He's even better in the fanfic than he was on the show! If you remember, I was devastated to see how suckass CG's English dub was, especially considering that it was by Bandai, of all companies, and starred many of my favorite VA's of all time, many of them giving some of the worst performances I've ever heard from them. (I'm still traumatized by Johnny Yong Bosch's delivery as Lelouch. Same goes for Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Cornelia.)

But not Lloyd. For whatever reason, Lloyd was the one well-voiced character in the English dub of CG. The only way Cal Reflector's fanfic could be any better would be to get Liam O'Brien himself to read Lloyd's dialog. That would be the shit.

Suzaku also finally appears. No, he hasn't betrayed anyone yet. Situations are starting to become more and more like the ones in the early part of the first season. The author promises that C.C. and Kallen will appear soon. I don't care about C.C., (so what, is he finally gonna introduce the supernatural element that is the Geass now?) but just do me one favor; don't make Kallen into a psychobitch. From what I remember on the show, she was most definitely a psychobitch. Don't portray her in such a one-dimesional light, puh-leeze! Well, considering that every other character is much more likable and/or fleshed out in Cal Reflector's series, I have faith.

But you know what? This is pathetic. How is it that a fan's series is so much better than the official work? How is it that a fan's interpretation takes all of CG's ideas, and does them right, whereas the official series did it completely wrong? It shouldn't be like this.

In other news, my trip to Reno begins next Sunday. I will be gone until Wednesday at the latest. Don't expect an update during that time.
