All those weirdass fanfics exist only as wish-fulfillment!
And dude, I just got a great idea for a 'fic!
It's Tales of Legendia. I know it's not a game I love, but its story had the potential to be one of the best ever. And now, I will have it live up to that potential!
Presenting: TOL, The After. This takes place shortly after the true ending of TOL. It's a script, since I can type that pretty quickly. There will be spoilers, mind you. Also, I haven't played the game in about 2-and-a-half years, but I can do this. I'm gonna kill off the worst RPG character ever and create the third best videogame coupling ever! Let's do this!
{The scene is somewhere in the town on The Legacy, I forget what the town is called. That somewhere being the bar. At the bar, Norma Beatty is talking to an anonymous bystander.}
{Norma} So I was like, where's your money? And she's like I can't give you any money, Senel says I shouldn't lend any money to you. I'm like, please, we're friends right? I need your help so much! You'd help out a friend, right!?
{All of a sudden, a part of the ceiling falls on Norma. She doesn't move. The people around her are shocked.}
{random NPC} Oh my God! She's dead!
{Cut now to the graveyard on the Legacy. A new tomb is opened up. Around the tomb are Senel, Chloe, Shirly, Moses, Jay, and Will. Will is delivering a eulogy. Everyone else looks very sad.}
{Will} The good truly do die young. Though she may not try to steal our possessions anymore, or annoy us with her immature nicknames, or her immaturity period, the fact remains that she stood by us when things were tough. And now, her flame is extinguished. We commit her remains, horribly mangled though they may be, within The Legacy, where she lived, and died. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
{Everyone walks away. Jay and Moses strike a conversation.}
{Moses} Man, I can't believe it. First Grune, now Norma. We could be next!
{Jay} I wouldn't worry about it. We're both still young, both still at the top of our game, so to speak.
{Moses} Have you any emotions at all!?
{Jay} It is unfortunate that Norma is now gone, but people die every day. It's nothing to cry over.
{Moses} Nothing to cry over!? I swear, I'm gonna kill you-
-{Will goes up to both Moses and Jay and smacks both of them over the head.}
{Will} This is no time to be fighting! A friend of ours is dead, and you'd rather squabble.
{Okay, enough of that. Cut now to sometime at night. Chloe is by herself out on the streets. Senel comes up to her.}
{Senel} Hey.
{Chloe} Hello, Coolidge.
{Senel} Chloe, I've noticed something. We have a lot in common, don't we?
{Chloe} Really?
{Senel} Yeah, I mean, we're both fighters, we both ended up on the Legacy, we both let our passions get the best of us in the past, and we're both fiercely protective of those close to us. Hell, we're even almost the same height!
{Chloe} I guess you're right.
{Senel} We've done so many things together, and . . . and . . .
{Chloe} What is it, Coolidge?
{Senel} Well, this is hard for me . . . I've come to really like you . . . on many levels.
{Chloe} R-Really!?
{Senel} Oh yes. And it's not just a mere kinship either. I feel something deep, a real deep connection with you.
{Chloe} But, what about Stella!? What about Shirley!?
{Senel} Stella lives only in the past now. And while I do love Shirley, I love her only in the way a step brother would love a step sister, nothing more. And even though things have been crazy, like with Grune disappearing, and Grune's evil twin sister trying to carry out nihilism, and Norma's sudden, you know, I feel like, I had to share this with you, while I still could.
{Chloe} S-S-Senel . . .
{Senel} Hey, you just called me by my first name!
{Chloe} Are you saying, you, love me?
{Senel} Love you? Yeah, I guess that's the way to say it.
{Chloe} . . . . Hold me!
{A few nights later, Shirley is looking out of her bedroom window, crying.}
{Shirley} You said you'd always be there for me, Senel. You'd said we'd be together forever.
{Curtain.}
A brilliant conclusion to what could've been a really beautiful story. Though, I must admit, the dialogue between Senel and Chloe turned out better than I imagined it would. Still, if the story went in my direction, it would really suck for Shirley. Poor little Shirley . . . great, I feel bad about something I did in a fanfic that I wrote in a manner of minutes!
Now I get it; fanfics aren't always about trying to be artistic within someone else's story; it's also about wish-fulfillment! Ha ha ha ha! LOLZERS!
xm now presents: Pokemon: the anime fanfic!
{The scene is . . . everybody dies. Nintendo never licenses the Pokemon games again. The End.}
This is great!
