Just when I was lamenting the lack of named fairy characters in my Touhouverse, ZUN announces this!
So now Cirno is the star. And we have character artwork by someone other than ZUN or someone at Tasofro, in fact, none other than the author of one of the three Mischievous Fairies manga series. And now Sunny, Luna, and Star are finally appearing in a game. This can only mean one thing:
MORE AWESOME CHARACTER THEMES!
Now I'll finally get to hear what the motifs for the fairy girls will be like. And maybe one or more new characters will be introduced. Oh, the possibilities are just too juicy!
By the way, I've seen in the forums that suddenly there is a spike in the number of people reading the mangas that feature the fairies. Hmm . . . is that sooo~? (Wait, Rumia's not a fairy, but she sure comes across as one. Hey, Rumia hasn't appeared in my fanfics either.)
Well, I guess that leaves just one last thing to say:

An IOSYS . . . rap. Featuring Ali Su, A-Patchy, and Mari-sama. (I was trying to think of rap names for Alice, Patchouli, and Marisa, forgive me.) I guess it was bound to happen; Touhou hip hop. I don't normally like rap, but I'm making an exception today.
And speaking of fairies, I think ZUN may've already composed music for the new Fairy game. Case in point. It sounds exactly like a stage theme. And I think I found a boss theme just now. Also, Star is the cutest of the fairies. Don't let her send you into kawaii-induced shock.

Ah yeah baby. Byakuren is now the goddess of Deep Purple knockoffs. By the way, nice title on this one, IOSYS, but hey, I like it.
FURTHER EDIT: A new Touhou girl has been introduced to the world! Please welcome Kasen Ibaraki! (sorry, no pics for you)
Don't know anything yet . . . except a few fans have already proclaimed "Kasen is hawt, lol." Okay, it's official; a large portion of the Touhou fanbase disgusts me. Mainly for this.
Me: I love Touhou! The setting is beautiful and I love the characters!
Most other fans: OH GAWD OKUU IS HOT!!!!1111!!!
Why must there continue to be such a huge disconnect between me and most other people?
