I'm gonna give a few notes about my Touhou fanfic now.
(WARNING! SPOILERS!)
Part 1:
-You just knew I was gonna describe Reimu as a brown-eyed brunette, didn't you?
-Why Suika quotes from Gurren Lagaan at one point, I have no idea.
-Yukari's description in the Touhou Wiki reminded me of Q from the Star Trek series. So to me, the relationship between Yukari and Reimu is like the relationship between Q and Picard, and later Q and Janeway.
-What Yukari and Yuyuko were discussing is entirely up to your imagination.
-I wonder what Reimu did when she found out that Marisa did indeed planned to steal from her. Well, I didn't feel like writing past that point, so use your imagination again.
Part 2.
-When I was describing Kaguya, I was actually spoofing two common mistakes aspiring writers make. One, in the second paragraph describing Kaguya, I was subjective in describing her. You're not supposed to describe characters subjectively in third-person narrative. And also, I snuck in a little purple prose in, my favorite example being her eyes. I once read a Final Fantasy fanfic that always described brown-eyed characters as having "ebony oculars." so I went a step further and said that she had, "soulful, sensual, ebony oculars." And lastly, I used Kaguya for this bit of satire because canonically, she's supposed to be beautiful, and also, well, I find her to be the most attractive of the Touhou cast. So, in doing so, I myself am now guilty of author appeal. (After all, that leg shape of hers? Skinny ankles and somewhat voluptuous thighs? I like legs like that.)
-I'm so sorry for working in the "Help me Eirin!" meme. It's just that I like that particular meme.
-Warning! Personal fanon interpretation! Yes, in my mind, Medicine Melancholy was made by none other than resident aloof witch Alice Margatroid. Who else could build a doll that resembles a cute blonde human girl as well as Medicine? Then again, Alice didn't appear in TH 9, the one game Medicine has appeared in, so it was possible.
-Kaguya tells Mokou, "NO U." Well, technically, the characters are speaking in Japanese, and I don't know if there's a Japanese equivalent of saying, "NO U." If there is, then maybe, just maybe, Kaguya might actually have internet access. Maybe.
-Here, I'll translate what Reisen was hearing in her drugged state. (by Tewi) “U dong wo kup!” "Udonge woke up!" (By Eirin) "Fee beh err u dong?" "Feel better, Udonge?" "Id seem zi gay view to much." "It seems I gave you too much." "wheel haf tu go wid plan bee." "We'll have to go with plan B."
-Reisen's dream is similar to a scene from IOSYS' Overdive video.
Part 3.
-I really wanna see more scenes with Yugi in the future. Especially if she's similar to Suika like in my fanfic.
-Any astute Touhou fanatic would be able to spot the errors in Aya's article. For one thing, Mystia Lorelei was nowhere to be found near the fight. When Aya said that "Mystia" was an eyewitness, she really meant she herself was an eyewitness. It's typically against journalistic credentials to put oneself in the article, hence Aya's lie. And another thing, at no point did Suika say she was jealous of Yugi's boobs.
-More fanon: there has to be a reason why that tiny fairy follows Medicine around. In this case, the poison she refers to as "Su-san" also controls the fairy. "Su-san" can have the fairy reconstruct Medicine if need be.
-The character Medicine encounters at the end is Ruukoto, a character from the PC-98 era. That's right; the PC-98 is canon in my Touhouverse!
And yes, I am now working on another Touhou fanfic. This one, however, won't be straight-up comedy. It will also have moments of drama, as well as character development. I don't know when I'll be finished with it, though. You can look forward to it, if you have the patience, that is.
