I am the Eggman. I am the Walrus.

Disc eight, everyone. I need to buy the rest of E7 now.

Well now, here's my reaction to episode 31:

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

FEEEEYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This series is now epic. And I don't take that word, lightly, peoples. When I say E7 is epic, I mean it. It is epically epic.

Dude, it is so, fucking, epic, I think I'll never watch another anime series ever again.

"But, what about, Motherfucking Death Note!?"

Yes, there were some edge-of-your-seat moments in DN, but E7 has thrilling scenes, too.

"But, what about Cardcaptor Sakura!?"

CCS is one of the few shows I like that makes me genuinely happy, but guess what? E7 also makes me genuinely happy! Okay, no one in E7 is as cute as anyone in CCS, but E7 can match CCS's happy moments.

"But, what about Mushi-Shi!?"

That one episode where Renton met that farmer was a lot like Mushi-Shi. Oh granted, E7 does not hold the title of most beautiful animated series ever like Mushi-Shi, but it has Mushi-Shi-like moments, too.

"But, what about Haruhi!?"

. . . Okay, yeah, I'm still gonna watch Haruhi. E7 is not as funny, nor as absurdly cute, as Haruhi.

So . . . yeah, looks like when I'm done with E7, I'll never watch another anime series ever again, except for Haruhi. Heh heh, when it comes to anime series, I have finally found my niche.

"So, can I have your Trinity Blood DVDs?"

No you can't. Those things are rare. They might be worth something in the future. Twenty years from now, when all anime is available on the internet for (paid) streaming, ye olde DVDs are gonna become collector's items, just you wait.

"Hey wait, has E7 dethroned DN now?"

Not yet. I have to see the entire series, first. However, if every episode after this continues to not disappoint me, I will christen E7 the best anime ever, and the second-best cartoon series ever behind only Futurama.

Now for other anime series, ones 'real' fans tend to like:

"But, what about Cowboy Bebop!?"

E7 doesn't shamelessly rip off every Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, John Woo, and Michael Mann movie ever made.

"But, what about Gurren Lagaan!?"

GL lacks E7's depth and characterization.

"But, what about FMA!?"

Read the manga, already!

"But, what about Eva!?"

I know Hideaki Anno and I both love pissing off otaku, but it just isn't as deep as you say it is!

"But, what about Hellsing!?"

FUCK Hellsing. That's right; I said it. Fuck Hellsing. A half-assed Castlevania/Devil May Cry ripoff trying way too hard to be cool is not my idea of escapism. Also, I love Crispin Freeman, but to be perfectly frank with you, he sounds completely off as Alucard. I know, actors can't always be in good stuff, but the same is true of animation, I'm afraid.

But I still want those E7 DVDs I don't already have.
