Why didn't anybody tell me the Trigun anime is good? I would've really enjoyed this show as a teenager. But noooooooooooooooooooooooooo, you had to recommend fucking DragonBall Z instead. Yeah, watching constipated musclemen sure is great stuff, when I could've been watching pre-Matrix gunfights instead!

Trigun is like the best retro '90's anime series I've seen. Not as good as my favorites of this decade, but Trigun, having come out in 1998, seems to bridge the 1990's, when anime series sucked, to the 2000's, when anime series finally started getting watchable. Cowboy Bebop helped with that transition, too. (even though I don't like the CB series anywhere near as much as the CB movie. I said it.)
That's it. I wouldn't have avoided Japanese animation for four years straight if it weren't for mentally defective otaku. Know this; if I ever encounter a psycho nerd in the real world again, things will get ugly. No, not ugly in the literal sense of the word, just, ugly as in me saying in my best Napoleon Dynamite impression, "You're such an idiot! GAWD!"
