The Answer

I've played the Answer in P3: FES a little bit. First the bad news: there are no social links. Because of how the story is setup, you can't go around and hang out with guys with personal problems, go for walks with koro-chan, and hit on teen girls. Then again, Aigis isn't quite as social as your character was in The Journey, anyways.

The Answer is just one long dungeon crawl, but instead of crawling through Tartarus, you crawl through The Abyss of Time. The Abyss is just like Tarturus, except there is no time limit. You can take your sweet time leveling up and not having to worry about full moons and such. The bosses are like the bosses in Tartarus; very strong.

Oh, also, monsters in the Answer are way stronger than in The Journey. Even the same monsters from the Journey that appear in the Answer will now be a lot stronger and harder to kill.

Almost every character from the Journey re-appears in The Answer: cute and lovable Yukari, crass but fun-loving Junpei, sultry and cool-headed Mitsuru, master jock Akihiko, boy wonder Ken, Koro-chan the dog with a Persona, and Aigis, the new main. A new character appears: Metis, a Shadow-hunting robot girl similar to Aigis. She's great in combat.

The story is still top notch, despite lacking the social link side stories. And also, Aigis does have one advantage over your character from The Journey; her grenade launcher has better range than any of 'his' weapons, making getting sneak attacks on Shadows much easier.

I'll keep playing until I'm satisfied. Nice to know there's more to do.
