So I've been playing more Persona 3. However, after a boss fight in the game, the characters I had with me leveled up so much, that they're way more useful than every other character now. So on my save file, the only useful characters are Akihiko, Yukari, and Ken. Everyone else is too low-leveled to survive.
The only real difference between the other characters is what elements they are weak to and what elements they are resistant or immune to, since you the player can use whatever Persona you want, you can use any kind of ability in battle.
So yeah, this game is like Final Fantasy 12 in one aspect; just pick whatever characters you like the most, and level them up, and buy their best equipment, and ignore everyone else. You'll pretty much have to later on in The Journey.
Oh, but you knew I had to have Yukari-chan in my preferred party, didn't you, readers? Well, you try resisting her charming ways! Oh geeze, I can see fans of this game now, trying to choose between Yukari or Mitsuru much in the same way television viewers of yore tried to choose between Mary Ann or Ginger from Gilligan's Island.
I have a rant about something, but I will save that for another entry.
