The Sound of Touhou Music

The hills are alive with two more remixes, one of which is yet another remix of Murasa's stage theme.

Sooooo Fucking metal.

Also a remix of Kanako's theme. You are not ready.

Oh, get this! It would seem my associate Heraklinios started a blogspot . . . and thanked me for inspiring him in his FF.net profile.

This scares me. I haven't even started my proper career yet, and already people are saying I inspired them! That's not a bad thing, mind you, (I liked how you described fanfiction, by the way) but I just wasn't expecting such a thing just yet.

And speaking of fanfiction, Part 3 of Gensokyan Backstories is now available! See why Youmu is the opposite of Yuyuko in terms of popularity!

But now, let's talk about my new Touhou fanfic series. Unlike the others, this one isn't connected to what I call Touhou Monogatari. It may reference it at times, but it will be standalone. All of the chapters (oh yes, I've already started part 2) are standalone. It will be, what you could call, a series of omake. Hey, I can say omake; it's based off a Japanese property. All of it will be humorous. Even if you see a serious scene, you will be laughing.

The first chapter, which should go live either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, is sparked from an idea I got from canon, of all places. It focuses on a character I haven't written that much about. And even though it is mostly funny, it will also make you think about what sparked the idea for this fic, too.

The second chapter . . . I don't wanna give away too much, but expect references to Higurashi, A Children's Card Game Yu-Gi-Oh, and even an anime I know virtually nothing about! It will be fun.

However, beyond that, I wanna wait until the release of the full version of Ten Desires before I write anymore Touhou fanfiction. It may give me more ideas, after all. Oh, I'm still writing the sequel to Eternal Blossom, but that's taking time.

In-between all of this, you know what else I've been doing? Sampling more Umineko music from Episodes 5 through 8 off of youtube. However, I feel as though I'm being taunted. I keep listening to all of this beautiful music, and yet, I can't play the actual game without a full English translation. It's like . . . Beatrice, Bernkastel, Lambda, and all the other witches are in their otherworldly tea party room, watching me, doing their "hahahahahahahaha!" laugh, seeing me squirm as I think, "Oh! Such grandiose music! Such beauteous compositions! If only I had Chiru to play, so that I could understand the context behind the songs!"

I almost want to say it's all useless, but if I say that one more time, I fear I'll get backlash for quoting Umineko too much. Oh well. Here's hoping Touhou Omake is well-received.
