I said I was going to make Youtube videos. Part of this is to get more exposure . . . not that kind of exposure! I can make trailers for my ebooks, but using a Youtube account for only that would be limited.
I will make vlogs too. In fact, there are some things I've been wanting to tell the internet for the longest time, but I refused, because text only (i.e. what I'm doing right now) could not fully convey my truest feelings. I think I said at one point in this blog's history that I am an aspiring actor. If not . . . well, you'll see that first-hand later this year.
I can even make vlogs of "classic" moments of this blog. You know you want me to.
But another reason is, well, this is a longshot, but if I get popular enough, I could get sponsored on Youtube, and I could make cash from vlogs, not just ebook sales and Google ads on the textual blog. Of course, I can't make that happen; you have to. I already know I can produce videos of me ranting about things I care about, but the people have to view, like, and subscribe to me enough times for that to happen.
As for Facebook and Twitter, well, I know people in the real world who use these. They'll walk me through them. I don't think you can make cash on those sites, but I'll still utilize them.
Oh! Get this! I don't normally follow Tweets, but guess what I discovered not too long ago; you don't have to use your real name on Twitter. Naturally, this leads to people signing up as a fictional character, and tweeting in-character.
Oh yes, it's true. (Please don't request me to do Rachel Alucard or Kokonoe Tweets. Besides, someone else is probably already doing that.)
According to tvtropes, there are Tweets by The Doctor, The Joker, Dumbledore, Strong Bad, Madoka characters, GlaDOS, and many others. In fact, I even punched in Bernkastel, and found a Twitter account for her! . . . that was entirely in Japanese.
However, it will be some time before I do these things. All these instances of me joining other networking sites won't happen until sometime in September, since my first ebook won't go live until early October. In the meantime, I can create a few videos before then, so that way, any of you interested in seeing me in video format will have more than just an intro video to look forward to.
Next time on this blog (while I'm still blissfully anonymous), I discuss a Trope that I haven't yet, and why it's making me suffer. And also, I won't be talking about this new path of mine, at least until the time is right. So look forward to usual ramblings.
