I really wanted to like Dragonball. Honestly, I did. Unfortunately, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT are just too stupid, too full of plot holes, too full of contradictions to be enjoyable. That's too bad. On the plus side, because of the wackiness of DB, it does translate into videogames much better than it does a manga or anime series. And, ya know, I like Gohan, he's cool, but the DB madness continues to baffle me. Especially since Naruto and Bleach do the same exact thing, except better.
Well believe it or not, I have discovered something pertaining to Dragonball Z that I find enjoyable. Something other than powning Frieza as kid Gohan in a PS2 fighting game.

Now, this isn't the first time someone's done a fandubbing of DBZ, and certainly isn't the first time it was a parody fandub. But this abridged series, oh man, it's just too hilarious! As of right now, two episodes are up, as well as a few short vids, including one making fun of a certain someone's power level. The voices sound surprising close to the actual English dub voices, and, well, it's just funny! Of the three DB series, DBZ is the one I'm most familiar with, and although I haven't seen any of the anime in years, I do remember one important detail; Goku is an idiot. In this abridged series, he's even more of an idiot. Also, Krillen is even more of a wimp. I've always felt sorry for him.
I've heard that this is the best abridged series since the parody of Yu-Gi-Oh from a while back. ("Screw the rules! I have money!") I don't normally watch parody stuff, but yeah, this parody of DBZ has made it enjoyable even for me.
Can't wait for more.
