"Don't push the Green Button."

Today's title is a reference to Rocko's Modern Life, another kid-friendly cartoon series I genuinely like. However, that's not the subject right now.

Pushing buttons is. Namely, pushing my Berserk Button. (How many times am I gonna use Tvtropes tropes in my blog?) I have two kinds of things that can set me off; Mild Irritants, and Things That Really Do Make Me Visibly Upset. Let's go over them, since I have time to kill.

xm0123's Mild Irritants That Drive Him Up A Wall:

1. Say that any video game that isn't M-rated, doesn't have guns, and doesn't star an uber masculine character is "gay."
2. Practice the Fine Art of Dub Hating.
3. Say that something sucks simply because it's popular with "normal people."
4. Claim that music from video games is not "real music."
5. Swear up and down that Youmu Konpaku is a fangirl. Actually, say anything negative about any fictional character he likes. Go on, try it.
6. "I only got into Sailor Moon because Sailor (whatever) was hot." Variations of this phrase also drive him nuts.
7. Online Gamers. Just . . . Online gamers.
   

Things That Really Do Make xm0123 Visibly Upset:

1. Bigotry in all of its forms.
2. Anti-intellectualism.
3. Close-mindedness.
4. Anyone who doesn't respect you just because you like something they don't like. Or vice versa.
5. Abusive people.
6. Exploitative people.
7. Mendacity.

Don't practice any of the seven items on my Things That Really Do Make Me Visibly Upset List, unless of course you want me to immediately lose all respect for you.
