All hail Nanaki!

I got the airship. Cid is currently the party leader, and my two extra characters are, you guessed it, Yuffie and Red XIII.

However, ever since I got to disc 2, the story has been starting to, lag. It was fun to see Tifa slap Scarlet, that mean blonde chick, repeatedly, but things haven't been hooking me as much, story-wise. I get the feeling that the most memorable sequences in this game are the beginning in Midgar, the events in Nibelheim that led to Sephiroth's madness, the tragic past of Vincent, Red XIII's past, Barret's past, and That Famous Scene At the End of Disc One(tm). Otherwise, I can't really call it a masterpiece of storytelling. Sure, it tells a better story than, say, the Halo games, but it's weird how FF7 is usually regarded as the epitome of high art in videogames when other games, including other Square-Enix games, surpass it.

Nonetheless, using limit breaks is fun. (even though I like the overdrive system in FF10 more.) And why summon Bahamut when you can summon . . . Neo Bahamut!? Yeah, baby, YEAH! It's so easy to level up in this game; just spam your most powerful summons, and when you run out of MP, rest at an inn or in the airship. Say, is this why the summons in the later games (besides FF10.) are less powerful? Maybe.

So here's hoping I can finish the game soon.
