Warning: the contents of this entry are very, very, cuddly

"Hey xm, didn't you say you downloaded an ISO of Tales of Eternia for your PS1 emulator? You haven't talked about it for a while. What's up?"

I got bored of it. Also, that game's battle system is nearly impossible to do on a keyboard. I was able to get away with it on the SNES version of Tales of Phantasia since that game's system is so simplistic, but I can't on Eternia. I need a real gamepad in order to win properly. Also, the first boss is too hard for me. Also, the storyline is completely forgettable, which, by the standards I've come to expect from the Tales games, is really bad. Also, the voices suck, and they aren't all muted even when turned off in the options menu.

"And, you haven't talked about Persona 3: FES for a while either. Weren't you playing The Answer?"

I was, but I'm stuck on a boss fight for it, too. I just don't have the patience to level up my party again in that game. How unfortunate; I was about to declare P3: FES the last great PS2 game, but I can't now. It's too unfair. I may end up selling my copy over Amazon.com in the future.

Now then, you might've noticed that this entry claims to have cuddly content. Well, that's because I'm taking a break from videogames right now, and instead watching stuff on veoh. You see, I have nothing to do in my life, since I am currently unemployed, and I don't go back to school until August 25th. I have about two months of free time left, and that leaves me free to do my own things. One of which involves watching an anime series where many of the characters are cuddly, a series you know as Cardcaptor Sakura.

"OH NO! NOT SAKURA!"

"Uh, are you gonna shout that every time you wanna talk about CCS?" Maybe, maybe not. However, since CCS is a typical shoujo series, and since it appeals to my sensitive side, I feel like talking about it . . . in a feminine manner. Bear in mind, I'm still writing as a human male, but . . . let me change my outlook.

Hi Internet! How are you!? Me? I'm terrific! ^_^ And why wouldn't I be? I've been having a Cardcaptor Sakura marathon at home, on my internet, for free! It really is a wonderful show. You know why? Because it makes me . . . happy. Sure, many tv shows I like entertain me, but few of them make me happy. Well, CCS makes me happy. It's positively delightful!

Say, you wanna know something strange? I started off reading a couple of the CCS manga. Whenever I read Kero-chan's dialog, I didn't imagine his voice sounding anything like he did on the show. Everyone knows in the anime he sounds like a girl . . . from Osaka. Yet, strangely enough, I didn't picture him sounding like that at all. I pictured him sounding more masculine. In reality, I imagined Kero-chan speaking . . . in my own voice. But, what's strange is, my own voice actually sounded suitable for a character like Kero-chan. And I rarely imagine a book character sounding exactly like I do. But his "official" voice works too. Just caught me off guard at first.

But, I have picked up on something that's in the anime but not in the manga; Meilin! Oh my, she's a fun character! She's cute, highly defensive of Shaoran, and kinda reminds me of Asuka from Evangelion, but thankfully, Meilin isn't a prima donna like her. I just love that face she makes whenever she's in the company of Shaoran and no one else. KAWAIIIIIIIIII! ^_^

And yes, it's true. I do believe the following sentence. Sakura, Tomoyo, and Meilin are just adorable! *insert super deformed version of myself here, since I don't have any suitable pictures* Tomoyo is a total sweetheart, Meilin I just described, and Sakura is perky without being too perky. The whole series is sugary and sweet without being too sweet. It's no wonder I love this series; CLAMP got everything right!

Almost everything. I still don't understand how most of the characters are completely ignorant of all the magical happenings around them, even when affected by the Clow cards. That's a mark off in my book! But otherwise, what's not to love about Cardcaptor Sakura? What's not to love about Sakura Kinomoto!? She's much more lovable than most other manga/anime heroines! Although my favorite character is still Kero-chan. Maybe that's why I imagine him with my own voice.

Well, that was . . . a different experience. Oh, also, every word I printed when I was being "girly" is true. I really do think some of the characters are too cute for words, and I really do like that Kero-chan. He's definitely a cut above most other "Mascot" characters. Oh, in your eye, Pikachu! In your motherfucking eye.
