Seeing those videos of sucky RPGMaker games inspired me. Looking up tvtropes yet again, I discovered a freeware RPG game made by RPGMaker XP that you should check out.
Master of the Wind.
I'm at arc III right now. Despite the limitations of RPGMaker, the game is solid. And yes, you whores, the storyline is pretty good, too.
No spoilers for you; just play it.
